The design draws inspiration from two important Dortmund landmarks: the Minister Stein coal mine, commemorating 40 years since its closure in 2027, and the Dortmunder U, which celebrates its centenary in 2026.
The traditional BVB yellow dominates the shirt, while a subtle geometric pattern is integrated throughout the fabric. Inspired by the structural forms of the mine and the architectural lines of Dortmund’s skyline, the pattern adds texture and depth without taking away from the iconic yellow appearance.
